Sending SEED Data to PASSCAL for Passive Experiments
When ready to send your SEED data to PASSCAL, first data_group [at] passcal [dot] nmt [dot] edu (drop us a note) with the network code and experiment name in the subject line (for example: XY Terra). It’s important that we know about incoming data, to be sure the server is up and has available space.
Next, take a moment to scan through your files to be sure everything is in order. Does your dataless describe the entire dataset - all stations included from day one? Please double check now to prevent bigger problems later. We prefer you send via our FTP tool - gui_DoFTP (part of the PASSCAL Software package).
If shipping via surface mail or carrier, please include any pertinent tracking information in your email message. Put a small label or card with the experiment name inside the box, such as “SEED data - Terra”. We have many incoming shipments - disks without labels can be mistakenly reformatted. Always label your data clearly!
