Descr: DSWA and DOE plan to conduct a 200-ton calibration explosion at Degelen Mt., Kazakstan. LDEO plans to deploy short period sensors at the 8 station Kazakstan broadband seismic network and two additional sites in KKL & BAY. The PASSCAL deployment will be an additional 6 instrument in a linear profile with station spacing of 100 km or less. The instruments will be between Balapan and Borovoye. This deployment will provide an important opportunity to study evolution of regional phases suchy as Pg, Pn, Sn, Lg and Rg with distance.
