Descr: This project is focused on MCS data acquisition across the Middle America Trench off Nicaragua. In addition to the MCS data we plan to record OBH/OBS data alo9ng two dip transects from the trench to near the coast. On the landward extension of these two lines we plan to deploy 3 component seismographs for up to 200 km NE from the coast. They will primarily record the airgun shots, but we hope to also arrange for a small number of explosive shots on land (or Lake Nicaragua). The primary goal of these instruments will be crustal velocity structure.
