Descr: We are proposing a small-scale, short-term seismological experiment around Lake Vostok that will be logistically linked to an airborne geophysical survey to be conducted during the 2000/01 season. The airborne survey is a part of a 3 year long aerogeophysical project designed to map the upper crustal structure around Lake Vostok. The passive seismological study will provide essential supporting information about the deep crust and upper mantle, which the analysis of the aerogeophysical data cannot resolve.q
