Descr: The objectives of this marine airgun seismic reflection survey are a seismic survey with very close line spacing of the central Georgia Strait seismically active fault, surveys of several faults in the U.S. part of southern Georgia Strait, and adjacent land recording of the airgun signals for very high resolution seismic tomography of the Georgia Strait sedimentary sub-basins. Associated Huntec high-resolution sub-bottom survey also has been suggested. 30 Reftek stations would be established on the shores of the Strait of Georgia to record the airgun signals continuously for 3 weeks. The airgun array to be used will be much smaller than that used during Wet SHIPS in 1998, so we plan to group the recorders closely together near the 3-D survey grid.
