Descr: A 2600lb and a 5000lb explosion will be detonated within the New Madrid Seismic Zone (NMSZ) and Cooperative New Madrid Seismic Network to excite fundamental and higher mode surface waves within the sediments of the Mississippi Embayment. The seismic network augmented by 8 temporary broadband stations and a three-component, short-period, small aperture seismic array will record these waves.
