Descr: The Cameroon Volcanic line is one of the most prominent volcanic lineaments that does not show an age progression. Holocene volcanism is found along nearly its entire length. We propose a deployment of 30 broadband seismographs to carry out upper mantle passive tomography, surface wave studies, and shear wave splitting studies. The results will be used to evaluate various plume, mantle flow, and small scale convection models for the origin of the CVL.
