Descr: We propose to conduct an active seismic reflection/refraction experiment over a hypothesized subglacial lake near the Amundsen-Scott S. Pole Station in Antarctica. We wish to use reflection seismic techniques to determine whether the lake is frozen or thawed. If thawed, how deep is the water column? What are the sub-lake sediments?
