Descr: A network of 3 broadband and 5 short period three component seismic stations will be deployed on Merapi Volcano, Indonesia for 2 to 3 months to monitor seismic activity. The seismic stations will be set up on the flanks of the volcano, well away from the active summit area. The short period stations will be provided by the Indonesian Government. Data recorded by the network will be used to model the source mechanisms of shallow events associated with the growth of a dome within the existing caldera on the summit of the volcano.
