  • Descr: We plan to deploy 2 seismic arrays of 50 REFTEKs with 3-component L22 2 Hz sensors on 450 m long lines across the Hector Mine rupture zone to record fault-zone trapped waves generated by near-surface explosions and aftershocks. Another spacial array of 250 Texan with vertical-component sensors will be deployed near the rupture zone to record explosions afor tomography study. Our scientific interest is to delineate the fine internal structure of the Hector Mine rupture zone. This will be repeated in 2001.
