  • Descr: It was recently discovered that a meteor impact crater exists beneath Chesapeake Bay, VA. Shipborne seismic imaging shows a clear impact structure, but its extent on land is not known. High-Res seismic imaging will attempt to define its landward dimensions and a continuous core borehole will be placed in the impact structure.
