  • Descr: A gravity survey published in 2000 found unexpectedly deep sub-basins below Reno, NV. Due to the potential for these deep basins to trap and amplify earthquake ground motion, their existence and depth must be confirmed by a second geophysical technique. A seismic refraction survey of a geothermal resource 15 km south of the basins will allow a line of 15 PASSCAL Texans to record the delays associated with the basins.
