  • Descr: We wish to record an earthquake swarm under the city of Spokane WA. This is an area that has little history of prior earthquakes but there is a major NW trending fault zone (Latah fault) that follows the Spokane river through the city. This is an opportunity to study the precise locations and mechanisms of events in this region for which little seismological information is available. The current swarm is receiving a great deal of press because residents in the city feel events as small as 2.0.
