For more information on SPW see http://www.parallelgeo.com.

As of December 1, 1999, Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS) and Parallel Geoscience Corporation (PGC) have entered into a five-year agreement whereby IRIS is funding support and maintenance fees for members who currently own or who purchase PGC's Seismic software. As part of this agreement, PGC is also offerring a significant discount on the price of the SPW software to IRIS members. SPW licenses are available on Windows NT/2000, Linux and Macintosh platforms.

TERMS

PGC will lower the purchase price of the complete SPW package to $5000.00 per license for all IRIS members.

Those members who already have a limited SPW license may receive the full license for a $100.00 charge to cover the cost of the keys and shipping.

PGC will provide up to 5 weeks per year of training for IRIS members. Attendance will be limited to 15 persons per session. Locations will be arranged by IRIS using member's facilities. IRIS will sponsor a few of these courses, but if a participating institution so desires, it may sponsor one of it's own. The cost of this training is $2500 per week plus reasonable travel expenses.

SPW licenses will be available on Windows NT/2000, Linux, Macintosh and any other future systems supported by PGC.

Participating IRIS members may only use SPW for non-profit teaching and research purposes.
