 PASSCAL EXPERIMENT PLANNING MEETING AGENDA

The purpose of the experiment planning meeting with the Instrument Center personnel is to discuss issues related to the upcoming experiment. This discussion serves two purposes:

  1. It allows the experimentor to perform more detailed planning, including possible changes to the original general plan, in order to incorporate the specific anticipated PASSCAL support. This includes both the type and quantity of instrumentation and its capabilities, and the ancillary Instrument Center support in the field.
  2. It allows the Instrument Center to generate a detailed list of the equipment required, including new equipment or procedures. It also allows the Instrument Center to schedule support activity, including field support, as appropriate.

This document provides a framework for the participants in the experiment planning meeting to follow and can be used as a checklist so that all topics necessary to ensure a successful planning session are covered. The times specified in parentheses are recommended and are not necessarily maximum time limits to be spent on an item.
