BLACK FLAGS III

Since we were going to be doing a lot of traveling on snowmobiles, we thought we would give the extraction of a snowmobile from a crevasse a try.  An old snowmobile was at the training area for just that purpose.

It took quite a bit of digging and pulling and pushing to get the snowmobile out of the snow bank and into the crevasse.

Once in it took a lot of digging and pulling and pushing to get it started back out of the crevasse.

At some point we decided that actually pulling the snowmobile all of the way out by hand was beyond the scope of the course.  We ended up backing the PistenBully into the crevasse and towing the stupid thing out.
