Near the building entrance is a display of up-to-the-minute seismic activity around the world measured by the Global Seismic Network (GSM). The GSM is also part of IRIS. The blue colored piece of equipment on the right is a real-time seismograph that records data coming from a station in Alaska.
The break room (where we never spend more than a couple of minutes per day ). Actually, this is where most of the big, important decisions are made.
