Employment Opportunity: Hardware Specialist
The EarthScope Primary Instrument Center (EPIC) at New Mexico Tech is seeking applicants to fill the position of Hardware Specialist.
Job Duties:
Responsibilities include :
- Support of hardware engineering staff
- Assist with testing seismic and ancillary equipment
- Work in warehouse packing, prep and inspection of equipment for shipping
- Assist with testing of non-pool or in house testing equipment
- Assist with in-field support of experiments
- Assist with technical documentation and maintenance records
- Train new work study students.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree required - Area of study Electronics, Science, Engineering or related studies.
- Electronic Troubleshooting required.
- Electronics bench tool usage required.
- Basic Computer usage required.
- Hand and power tools usage required.
- Forklift and packing materials/tool usage desired.
- A valid NM Driver’s License required.
