test error after installation

I did tests which are showed on http://www.passcal.nmt.edu/ftp/software/passoft/linux/README.txt 1. The first test % which picpython The response is correct. 2. The second test % lopt The return: /opt/passcal/bin/lopt: line 31: 3978 error (core dumped ) $PYTHON ${PASSCAL}/lib/python/${PROG}/${PROG}.py ${OPTIONSDB} Does that mean the installation is failed? What should I do about this situation? Thank you!
