Instrument Request for GAMSEIS/Penn State/WashU (200731)

Name: GAMSEIS/Penn State/WashU

Long Name: A Broadband Seismic Experiment to Image the Lithosphere beneath the Gamburtsev Mountains, East Antarctica

We have proposed to image the crust and upper mantle beneath and surrounding the Gamburtsev Mts in East Antarctica using teleseismic, regional and local seismic events recorded on a network of 23 BB stations over a period of one year. We will equip the stations with enough batteries to ensure that they can run through the winter months. The stations will be deployed during the 2007-2008 field season (Nov, Dec 2007; Jan 2008).
8 stations will remain deployed until the 2012-13 field season.
