FIRST THE RIBS

Using a hammer and chisel we made eleven sets of holes in the sides of the keel that accepted the twenty-two 1"x2" hardwood ribs (or frames in a larger boat).

The bow of the boat was carved out of another piece of wood and was attached to the front of the keel with a type of joint that I had never seen before.

Sharkbait was built at the edge of the village's basketball court in downtown Ngolos. I'm not sure if this was really a basketball court, or was a leftover building foundation from the war, or a leftover basketball court from the war.
